American rock and roll band The Eagles sold more than 120 million albums worldwide and produced the best selling greatest hits album of all time. Directed by Alison Ellwood, ‘History of the Eagles Part One’ provides an intimate guide through the journey of the band, right from the very beginning.

With interviews from members Don Henley, Glenn Frey, Joe Walsh, Don Felder, Timothy B. Schmit and never-before-seen archive footage, the documentary goes underneath the surface of the bands stage persona, highlighting the internal tensions and creative differences that ultimately caused their break up. It chronologically provides insight into both past and present band members and their roles in producing The Eagles iconic original rock and roll sound.

‘History of the Eagles Part One’ journeys through the hit albums, Eagles, Desperado and the most famous, Hotel California. Demonstrating how the small group of very different personalities produced music that has become crucial in representing 70’s culture. The 120 minute documentary serves as a great warm up for The Eagles 2013 reunion tour.
